It’s been exactly two weeks since I began my prepartum leave (I work for a pretty awesome company that offers up to 4 weeks of paid leave before your due date) and if I’m being completely honest, it’s going by super slow.
I may regret saying this later but, I’m ready for baby number two to arrive. Over the past week I’ve done my best to close off loose ends... you know: getting my taxes done, registering my first for junior kindergarten, rejigging our car seat situation in both cars, setting up the crib, attending OB appointments and constantly reorganizing cupboards and furniture - safely of course. Despite keeping myself relatively busy doing these things, while also spending time with my daughter, the days have just been moving at a snail’s pace.
Perhaps the reason I feel this way is because this is my second pregnancy and I know what to expect - more or less. Don’t get me wrong, I know two children is a whole lot different than having just one - it’s basic math, of course I’m bound to feel more of EVERYTHING than I did with just one but I’m ready so in until then, I’ll continue hoping she comes soon.
